“About four years ago, I started training with James Bell (at Alive! Fitness). James is Taru’s husband. I’d reached a plateau in my strength training, although I was already strong. I figured I’d stay at the weight I was pushing. But what happened was that most of my weights doubled! Instead of pushing 200 pounds on leg press, my weight went up to 400 pounds! And when I got on my bike, the hills weren’t so big anymore! And instead of driving my car, I can pick it up and throw it over the moon! Ok, that last one was a slight exaggeration, but you get the idea. And my girlfriends back at the gym where I used to work out? They’re still using the little pink weights.
